FACT: The tactics being used by Conservative organizations to discredit the OWS movement through the creation of incidents are essentially identical to the tactics used by police against squatter camps in the novel The Grapes of Wrath.

FACT: Conservative muckracker James O'Keefe was in the Zucotti Park area during the time of the OWS protest. There is video of him in the area and that video was broadcast on Rachel Maddow's program.

FACT: The photo which appeared in multiple Rupert Murdoch (FOX News) owned outlets proclaimed to be a photo of an OWS protester defecating on a police car was actually taken in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn NY and is actually just a picture of a random homeless person - not someone who is affiliated in any way with the OWS movement.

FACT: In every single incident of violence or looting related to the OWS movement there are multiple eyewitness accounts of the persons who committed the violent acts being strangers to protesters, having a hostile attitude towards the other protesters, and disappearing from the protest area immediately following the acts of violence.

FACT: Conservative media outlets have hyped the negative stories relentlessly and have completely ignored all evidence which suggest that these incidents may be part of a concerted effort by Conservative Republicans to discredit the OWS movement.
Is there a Republican anywhere who can provide a valid counter-argument to these claims rather than the typical Republican tactic of dismissal and slander?

When the accuser's boyfriend learned about the encounter, he reportedly approached Commissioner Kelly at a public event and accused his son of ruining the woman's life. The commissioner suggested he write a letter, The New York Post reported. It is unknown if the boyfriend did so.

I was wondering if any stores sell sheets of Colored Butcher Paper - NOT the rolls. For my college's chemistry club, we are trying to get some, but they seem to only sell by the roll (which is around $50-$150). We don't need that much, just a sheet of it.

Which Military branch and major will be best for me?

I am planning on attending a 4 year college (as a junior) and going to participate in ROTC program. i definitely want to attend school before enlisting. I know its a lot to ask but im just looking for some brainstorming ideas.

The college i will be attending offers both air force and army ROTC. Im having some difficulty in choosing which way to go. I am not the kind of person that does not want to be behind a desk all the time which makes me lean towards army, but simultaneously i would like to be more apart of an aviation field that is offered by the AF (but is a tad more selective i feel). Also by going army i could participate in the SMP program affiliated with the National Guard. At the same time everyone tells me that life is much better for air force officers.

Another option was the Navy NBDP which allows me to attend school first and then go to officer candidate school after graduation. Unfortunately the program is "discontinued" at this time, is there anything like it in any other branch?

My second issue is which major would go along well with joining the military? originally i was considering a communications degree but will probably just minor in that. What would be an ideal major to help me get an upper hand?

I know its a lot to ask, but everyones opinions and experiences will help me at least get an idea of what to plan for my future. Thank you all!

I'm going into my second semester of college soon. I'm in an accelerated medical program, which means I only have 3 years undergraduate, and then I go to medical school (by being accepted into the program I already have a seat in the medical school affiliated with the program if I maintain a minimum GPA, which I am).

I was wondering what kinds of things I should know about medicine before going to medical school. I'm not talking about academic stuff. I'm talking about the medical field. Are there certain medicines I should already know about? Certain diseases? Should I have a basic knowledge of some common medical procedures already? Which ones? What should I know about healthcare? Etc. And where can I learn about the things I should know? Wikipedia? Or is there some good medical website that explains such things? Etc.

I just want to be a well-informed doctor. I don't want to go into medicine as a doctor who only knows standard textbook stuff without basic knowledge of the field. I'm sure medical school will cover a lot regarding the medical field, but I feel that I should already have some basic knowledge prior to medical school, and perhaps I'm even expected to have such knowledge already.
